Step 1: Planning
When it comes to building your dream home, location is everything. Whether you have a homesite that you own already or are looking for the right piece of land, the team at Tidewater Homes is ready to help. We start with a preliminary consultation, homesite selection, and then begin discussing your budget, schedule, and home financing.
Step 2: Design
A custom or semi-custom home plan should be a place that defines your own unique taste and personality. You’ll meet with our accredited Interior Designer at our Home Design Studio to make design selections for your new home. This is your vision, and our team will help make it a reality, down to the very last detail. View our gallery of homes.
Step 3: Pre-Construction
Once all selections have been made, we will schedule a pre-construction meeting to finalize design, budget, and mortgage financing. Our team will set your home’s construction schedule and define certain expectations throughout the homebuilding process.
Step 4: Construction
We understand that the custom home construction process can seem a bit daunting, so our team is available from start to finish to answer any questions you may have along the way. You’ll have dedicated project managers to communicate with. As construction continues there will be inspections, progress updates, walk-throughs, landscaping installation, and more.
Step 5: Closing
Welcome home! You did it! We are so excited for you to delight in your new home for many years to come.
Step 6: Post-Construction Service
Tidewater Homes will activate your 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty and schedule a 90-day follow-up service and 11-month follow-up service to ensure you are fully satisfied with your new home.
